Supercharged Vitamin Water

Standard

If you have difficulty gulping those pesky vitamin tablets down then I came up with just the thing!  It’s home made Vitamin Water on Steroids!  This drink combines a multivitamin along with dietary supplements to beef it up.  Not to mention tastes GREAT.  Enjoy!

Gather Ingredients

Stevia (qty. 1 teaspoon) is an all natural calorie free sweetener derived from a small plant.  Stevia has nutritional value because it comes from a natural source.  Stevia contains a laundry list minerals including, iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and zinc which are vital to the body.  Best yet it’ll give your drink a sweet taste without adding extra pounds to your belly.

Green Tea (qty. 2 Bags) contains a powerful polyphenolic antioxidants and carotenoids that help promote overall health as well as as protect and nourish your skin.

Lemon Juice (qty. 1 tablespoon) contains a hearty dose of Vitamin C.  Vitamin C is a substance required for the bodies vital metabolic reactions.  It’s best taken in it’s natural form from a fresh citrus fruit such as Lemons.  It also gives the drink a delightful citrus zip yet does not pack any calories.

Pure Aloe Vera Juice (qty. 2 tablespoons) is typically seen in lotions but it’s equally healthy when ingested.  It has been shown to promote joint health, immune health, improve circulation, and regulate digestion.  It will also help keep you skin from drying out.

Multivitamin (qty. One Serving) is a broad spectrum nutritional supplement you should take.  It provides all the vitamins and minerals the body needs but you do not always get in your hectic day to day life.  Multivitamins can be amazingly helpful for your health but as some of you have experienced can be hard to swallow 😉

Filtered Water (qty. 4 cups) makes up a majority of our body.  I filter ALL the water I cook with and drink.  By filtering the water you ensure your body receives only the highest quality water which is even better than most bottled water.

Make the Tea

Put the two tea packets and filtered water in the Nalgene bottle.  Close the lid with the strings hanging out.  Allow the tea to saturate the filtered water.  Remove tea bags when complete (after an hour or so).

Mix the Ingredients

Dump the remaining ingredients into the bottle along with the multivitamin.  Allow all ingredients to fully dissolve including the multivitamin.  This can take a good 30 minutes.  You can even leave it overnight for the best results.

ENJOY!

I try and drink one 32 ounce Nalgene bottle of Supercharged Vitamin Water a day.  Normally I have it in the morning.  The tea packs a small dose of caffeine which helps me clear my mind and is best taken with something on your stomach like a warm bowl of oatmeal.  If you workout you can save a little bit of it to drink after the workout.  Tea has been shown to aid in workout recovery!
